Reconfigurable Critical Operations Processors

FPGA Accelerated Computing

The Computing Power of Clusters Without the Price

What we do is "quite simple"

We turn a single desktop or laptop computer into a "Supercomputer" with the computing power of 100 to 1000 Pentium 4 processors but without the acquisition cost and operating cost. *

CritiComp Systems  designs, manufactures, programs and markets  turnkey "Reconfigurable Critical Operations Processors"  (RCOP) based on FPGA “co-processors”.

RCOPs can be “stand alone” computers, integrated peripherals for various products and instruments, or embedded solutions in those products.

Not every organization can afford to buy or rent time on a cluster or grid for those intensive computing tasks becoming so important in our modern technology.  But most organizations can afford an FPGA accelerated computing system.  Many programs that are intractable on a cluster run easily on an FPGA accelerated computing system.

Reconfigurable Critical Operations Processors can be thousands of times faster than an Intel P4 Processor -- depending on the task.  They are a fraction of the cost for the same computing power.  They are small enough to fit on a desk or under it.

*RCOPs are green -- dissipating only the power of a single desktop or laptop.

Reconfigurable/FPGA computers are not suitable for all problems.  They excel, however, at problems that can be parallelized or require repetitive calculations.

How we can help you

1) We can program your application for FPGA acceleration from either  C or the original algorithm and work with your scientists to get the best results

2) We provide an FPGA box to run your application on.   Just plugging a board into an existing Desktop won't cut it for most serious applications!

3) We can optimize your FPGA application for maximum speed and data throughput.

4) FPGA Acceleration is orders of magnitude less expensive than clusters.

5) We can retrofit your clusters with FPGA to make them 100s of times faster.

IMPORTANT SECURITY ISSUES

We are cognizant of the importance of protecting your application specific proprietary information and will guard it as we would any top secret classified material.  NDAs and Bonding are part of our procedures.
